A master suite in Coronado...

Blending colors isn't always easy for some people. For me it's one of my favorite things to do and it comes naturally. Here's a little peek of what adding a little color to your home can do to "cozy it up" and personalize.

Start with an inspiration piece. For this master suite it was the floral duvet. Mostly natural linen, lots of color though...cranberry, chocolate, mustard, carmel, and spa blue.

Add pillows and another color to create the "pop". We took advantage of the blues. Look at how the shell buttons in the front accent pillow have that blue in them and compliment the look.

Add an accent wall, in this room we gave it a rich chocolate carmel hue.

Every saint & Every Sinner...

Some people have asked me why I made the choice to call the blog, The Ultimate F Bomb.
Well, here's the answer; we are all Flawed, (including myself) and its a simple reminder that although everyone Falls short of the glory of God, to those who believe, he still shows us mercy, grace, and Forgiveness. (See...another Fab "F" word.) Since I am no stranger to dropping the occasional F bomb... ( or sin for that matter) I thought I could use that to my advantage to grow a vocabulary of much better words that begin with the letter F! We all have our shortcomings, we all sin, and in spite of those shortcomings and sins, our creator loves each one of us with a Fervor that only a Faithful Father can Fathom. ❤

I better get better at taking pics of my jobs!

So I learned today (my first day as a blogger) that I am not very good at taking pictures of my current projects. Most of the pics I take are for my own use so that I can reference the space while I am shopping for items to fill it with. As I was going through my current projects I realized that I had better get more skilled at taking before and afters, as well as removing some of my own personal items from the shot. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I need to get more proficient at "staging" my photos for this blog.

See example above: my water bottle is on the fireplace, (as is a family name sign that doesn't belong in that space.) Also my purse on the floor and a part of a baby bouncer is in the shot! If you follow this blog, you will see this pic again, only with a much better one (the after) next to it when the job is complete. :)
Since I basically created this whole site in one day, I am going to cut myself a little slack and start again tomorrow. It is after all a new day right? ;) Goodnight y'all! 😘

Launching F bombs!

It's a new dawn,
It's a new day,
It's a new life for me
And
I'm feeling GOOD!
As I launch my blog, this Michael Buble song is playing in the background. So appropriate and several years in the making...here she is...my blog.
Style and decor done my way and hellsyeah, I'm feeling GOOOOOOD!
Born and raised in San Diego, California I got my professional experience and instruction at the school of hard knocks and learned quickly that when opportunity knocks, you open the door. Designing and decorating homes has been a part time job for the last 15 years, with my full time job being raising my two boys Christopher and Caleb. Prior to delivering my first son, Christopher I received many kudos for how I decorated his nursery and this lead to a career in doing interiors. Now that both boys are in school, I have decided to utilize my gifts and put myself to work full time so I can raise these boys and tailor my schedule to adjust to their needs. Being a single mom is no picnic, as Christopher is in what I call full blown teen-life-crisis, and Caleb is just starting out in Kindergarten. Follow me on my journey as I am finding out that life has much to offer, especially when you follow God.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them. Romans 12:6
